LIFE Mower County begins its 29th annual Rose Sale
(ABC 6 News) – The sun is shining and the weather is getting warmer. Maybe that has you thinking about some spring flowers.
Tuesday kicks off LIFE Mower County‘s 29th annual Rose Sale. The group works to expand opportunities for kids and adults with disabilities. With the choice of red roses or a bouquet of colored ones, your money helps keep their program running.
“Most of the people that we serve are pretty low-income. So it supplements if they have to pay to go to a movie, or they can come here for a movie. Or we go out or whatever. So those funds supplement all the supplies and that kind of stuff for the different programs,” said Dawn Helgeson, executive director at LIFE Mower County.
On average, about 400 dozen are sold every year. That equals out to about $10,000 raised.
The sale goes through March 26 and pick-up is April 9. If you’d like to order, you can click here.
