(ABC 6 News) – An instructor at Rochester Community and Technical College has been selected as a NASA Space and Physics Ambassador.
Rob Milbrandt is one of only eight instructors selected to train with the heliophysics education activation team, otherwise known as HEAT.
Milbrandt says the ambassador program is a great opportunity to bolster introductory physics training at schools across the country.
“I like teaching here and I think community colleges do a log off teaching of introductory physics in the country and I think there’s been more of an acknowledgment of that lately,” Dr. Milbrandt said.
Milbrandt will develop leadership plans using HEAT materials that will be distributed to physics instructors across the country.
