(ABC 6 News) – Roller Disco is back for another year.

The event will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The second annual event presented by the Rochester Downtown Alliance (RDA), will be held at a new location this year, on the 300 block of Broadway Avenue South within the roadway. Last year, the inaugural event was held in Peace Plaza.

“The RDA is thrilled to be highlighting a new area of downtown by bringing Roller Disco to Broadway. We are truly grateful for the support of our neighbors and City teammates who helped us think creatively to execute this project,” said Holly Masek, Rochester Downtown Alliance executive director. “We can’t wait to see both Rochester residents and visitors down here for this joyful event to celebrate the end of summer.”

The event will feature two-days of outdoor roller skating, disco fun, DJ entertainment, free skate rentals, and more. Attendees can also bring their own skates or in-line roller blades.

Friday’s schedule features a family skate from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and disco after dark from 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Saturday’s schedule features a family skate from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., a teen skate from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and disco after dark from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
