Man sues after Marengo explosion

(ABC 6 News) – An Iowa man injured in the 2022 explosion at an asphalt, shingles recycling plant in Marengo is now suing the company C6-Zero for lost wages, medical expenses and disfigurement.
Cody Blasberg stated the business’ negligence caused the fire and his injuries.
He alleges the company did not follow safety standards. Blasberg says, when he went to fix a conveyor belt, it ignited and caused the explosion when he opened the machine.
The state fire marshal determined the explosion was accidental.
