Minnesota and Iowa crash numbers
(ABC 6 News) – While road conditions have improved throughout the day in Minnesota, the state patrol still responded to over 100 crashes across the state between yesterday and today.
In total, MSP responded to 141 crashes since 5 p.m. on Jan. 9.
13 of those crashes left people hurt, but no fatal injuries.
72 incidents on Minnesota roads involved spin outs, 4 crashes involved jack-knifed semi-trucks.
One of these crashes took place in Freeborn County; a semi tried to exit off of I-90 onto County Road 46 and flipped instead.
Meanwhile in Iowa, a multi-car pile-up on I80 near Des Moines shut down the road for several hours.
Multiple semi-trucks came to a complete stop in the middle of the road.
Iowa state patrol says they responded to over 314 calls to assist drivers. 100 involved crashes, 15 of those involved injury and 85 with property damage.
No deaths have been reported on Iowa roads.
