MNsure CEO issues statement ahead of enrollment deadline on December 18

(ABC 6 News) – Ahead of the deadline for enrolling in MNsure coverage, the company’s CEO issued a statement Thursday via email.

“Now that we are about five weeks into open enrollment, an important deadline is coming up. To have health coverage on January 1, you need to enroll by Wednesday, December 18!

Even if your health plan was renewed, I encourage you to check your options at MNsure.org. Plan networks and prices can change year to year, and you don’t want to miss out on savings. Eligible Minnesota families will save an average of $561 per month (over $6,700/year!) on private health plans purchased through MNsure.

This holiday season, check in with your loved ones about their health care coverage. Quality health coverage continues to be more affordable for Minnesota families, but too many of our neighbors are still without insurance and even skipping necessary care.

If you know someone who needs coverage or might be missing out on savings because they don’t get their health insurance through MNsure, let them know they can get a quick estimate on our website.
