(ABC 6 News) – Dry conditions are raising the risk of fires all across Iowa.

Most of the state is experiencing a “Very High” threat level, while other parts are seeing “Extreme Threat Risks,” due to high winds, low humidity and dry vegetation, according to the National Weather Service.

Iowans are asked to avoid starting any fires, dispose of cigarettes safely and use caution with farm equipment.
