(ABC 6 News) – In Iowa, legislation relating to the standard review of an officer-involved shooting by a county attorney has passed the House Judiciary subcommittee.
The bill would require county attorneys to review evidence in a shooting by an officer (resulting in death or seriously bodily injury) to either convene a grand jury or refer the case to the state’s attorney general for an independent review.
