Osage wrestling coach placed on administrative leave
(ABC 6 News) – An Osage wrestling coach has been placed on administrative leave for unexplained reasons.
Ryan Fank is currently listed as a special education teacher and the head of girls’ wrestling at Osage Community Schools.
Superintendent Barb A. Schwamman with Osage Community School District shared the following letter, which went out to families in the area:
“Dear Green Devil Families,
I realize there are rumors going around our school and community and we want to communicate the following.
Ryan Fank was placed on administrative leave on 1/5/24. This leave is not disciplinary in nature at this time, and the District cannot comment further on personnel matters. Plans for all classroom duties are currently being worked on. Coach Hemann is taking over duties on the girls wrestling team at this time.
Osage Administration”
Correction: An earlier version mistakenly indicated that Fank was no longer listed on the school website as a special education teacher and head girls’ wrestling coach. That was incorrect. Fank is still listed as active in those positions on the Osage Community Schools website.
