Man found dead on train tracks identified by Medical Examiner’s Office

(ABC 6 News) – The Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office identified the 25-year-old man found dead on Rochester train tracks Saturday night.
Robert J. Hall died from blunt force trauma after being struck by the train at Broadway Avenue N and Civic Center Drive NE.
According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, his cause of death was ruled a suicide.
Hall did not have a home address listed.
(ABC 6 News) – A young man was found dead after being hit by a train over the weekend.
According to the Rochester Police Department, dispatch received a report Saturday, Sept. 24, at 11:30 p.m., of a train hitting a pedestrian who was lying on the tracks near Broadway Avenue N and Civic Center Drive NE.
Law enforcement arrived to find a deceased person at the scene.
The deceased is a 25-year-old Rochester man, police said. Law enforcement is still determining why he was on or near the train tracks before the accident.
RPD, the Canadian Pacific Police Service and the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the incident.
