Private and public school enrollment numbers in Iowa

(ABC 6 News) – The Iowa Department of Education says public school enrollment dropped by just over half a percent.

Meanwhile, private school enrollment jumped by more than 7%

The numbers are likely due to the state’s Students First Education Savings Accounts program, which gives families roughly $75,000 to cover tuition costs for private schools.
