Project Community Connect supports Rochester residents in need
(ABC 6 News) – Three Rivers Community Action held its Project Community Connect event here in Rochester earlier today.
The event offered free lunches, haircuts, medical services and so much more.
The event was held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and served as an opportunity for vulnerable people to access resources they might need, all in one spot.
“By having a big event and having everybody come together and be so supportive, and you know they are really here to help people that need just a little bit of extra help in the community,” said Jordan Boyum, the event chair with Project Community Connect. “So, having a big event like this just shows that, hey, we care about you were here for you.”
If you missed the event, you can check out the Project Community Connect on Facebook where they’ve listed all the different services.
And if anyone wants to help out in the future, you are encouraged to reach out to Jordan Boyum at Three Rivers Community Action.
