(ABC 6 News) – As lawmakers work to reach a deal surrounding the border, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds says she plans to send state troopers and Iowa National Guard Soldiers to Texas once again.

A recent ruling by the Supreme Court states that individual states do not have the authority to enforce border security and should leave the task to the federal government.

Reynolds says Texas should be able to defend itself and its borders.
