Additional criminal sexual conduct charges added to Rochester man’s court case

(ABC 6 News) – A Rochester man now faces six criminal sexual conduct charges in Olmsted County Court, after his alleged teenaged victim spoke to law enforcement about additional incidents, which allegedly took place when she was 8 or 9 years old.

Ricardo Jovanny Garcia, 38, now faces three charges of 1st-degree criminal sexual conduct, including penetration, with a child under age 13, as well as the original two charges of 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct and single charge of 4th-degree criminal sexual conduct in Olmsted County Court.

Garcia’s case was amended to include the new charges in early July.

Garcia was originally scheduled to appear for a pretrial hearing on the original three charges Tuesday, July 11.
The trial was postponed. Garcia’s next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 29.

(ABC 6 News) – A Rochester man appeared in Olmsted County Court Thursday, Feb. 9, after allegedly molesting a 15-year-old girl in the spring of 2022.

Ricardo Jovanny Garcia, 38, faces two counts of 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of 4th-degree criminal sexual conduct.

According to court documents, the 15-year-old allegedly told a therapist that Garcia had sexually assaulted her on numerous occasions, most recently in the spring of 2022.

Garcia’s next court appearance is scheduled for April 11, 2023.
