Rochester police identify woman found dead in snow
(ABC 6 News) – Investigators have identified the woman found dead in the snow in Rochester on Feb. 28.
The Southern Minnesota Regional medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as Pamela Anne Keeler, 57.
Keeler was found in the snow near 14 Street and 4 Avenue Southwest, near Rochester Math and Science Academy.
Keeler was found with another individual who was taken to the hospital for immediate medical care.
Investigations have not determined the exact cause of death.
(ABC 6 News) – Rochester police are investigating the death of a woman believed to be homeless, after her body was found in the snow near 14 Street and 4 Avenue Southwest.
According to public information officer Amanda Grayson, around 2:50 p.m. Feb. 28, a person called 9-1-1 to report two bodies on the ground north of the Rochester Math and Science Academy.
Police located the woman, who was dead at the scene, and a man who was taken to the hospital for immediate medical care.
Grayson said the man is recovering at a local hospital.
Rochester police is working with the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the woman’s cause and manner of death, she added.
“Homelessness is a complex issue, and RPD continues to seek a wide variety of solutions to help those experiencing it,” Rochester police chief Jim Franklin said in a statement. “Through a partnership with a new community outreach Drug & Alcohol Response Team, we are providing people with support services.”
Rochester saw temperature drops of 62 degrees between Tuesday, Feb. 27, and Wednesday, Feb. 28.

Temperatures reached the teens and 20s midday, but the wind chill dropped the “feels-like” temperatures to the single digits.
