Rochester Public Library seed library returns
(ABC 6 News) – The seed library is officially back for its sixth season at Rochester Public Library.
The library gives people a chance to bring home up to 15 seed packets per person.
It also gives people information and advice about gardening and healthy foods from a variety of community organizations, such Olmsted Soil and Water Conservation District, Rochester Garden & Flower Club, Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center and more.
It’s now located on the second floor of RPL with a new layout and design.
RPL will host an open house Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the auditorium and across the library.
“The Seed Library Open House offers the opportunity to connect, ask questions, and share your love of plants with these outstanding local organizations,” said RPL Head of Technical Services Keri Ostby in a press release. “Snacks are being provided by CHOOCHOO-ca-CHEW with recipes based on the Seed Library collection. We’re so thankful for everyone’s assistance and willingness to share their time and expertise with our community.”
