UPDATE: Identities released in fatal crash in Rochester

(ABC 6 News) — The Rochester Police Department has released the names of the people involved in a fatal crash in Rochester earlier this week.

The pedestrian who died at the scene has been identified as Phillip Abbott, 64, of Rochester.

The driver has been identified as Paul Brooks, 40, also of Rochester.

No one has been cited or arrested.

(ABC 6 News) — Rochester Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred around 5:40 p.m. on Broadway Ave South near 19th St SE on Wednesday night, January 22.

A vehicle traveling northbound on Broadway Ave South struck a pedestrian who was not using a crosswalk.

Life-saving measures were performed, but the pedestrian, an adult male, died at the scene.
