(ABC 6 News) – U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) helped to introduce a bipartisan backed bill to strengthen federal child trafficking prevention.
The Preventing Child Trafficking Act of 2024 would enhance cooperation among federal agencies.
The bill seeks to require the Department of Justice and the Department of Health and Human Services to implement the government accountability office’s anti-trafficking recommendations.
It would also set a timeline for implementation, requiring the DOJ to implement goals for anti-child trafficking programs.
