Sledding hill, outdoor rinks open in Rochester
(ABC 6 News) – The Gamehaven sledding hill and outdoor ice rinks are ready for use, according to the Rochester Parks and Recreation Department. The department has been working to flood the rinks and make snow in order to open the facilities.
Depending on the weather, the ice on outdoor rinks and the Gamehaven sledding hill will be maintained through the end of February.
“We always look forward to opening the outdoor rinks and sledding hill. These free activities are a great way to stay active during the winter,” explains Parks & Recreation Director Paul Widman. “
“Our eight outdoor rinks are spread across the community, and having the ability to make snow at Gamehaven provides a great option when it’s cold, but nature hasn’t delivered the snow. A big thank you to our team who makes this happen from setup to flooding and ongoing maintenance.”
