St. Patrick’s Day festivities in the Med City

(ABC 6 News) – Everywhere you look, you’d see a lot of green today.
Just one way people are showing their Irish spirit.
All across the Med City you can feel the St. Patrick’s Day spirit.
At the American Legion Post 92, you could hear it too.
The Legion, the 11th stop of the day for the Rochester Caledonian pipe band.
They’ve started playing before noon.
The bagpipes just one of the Irish traditions being celebrated, corned beef and cabbage is on the menu, and of course there’s plenty of green beer.
On the other side of town, the Irish spirit is also being felt at LTS Brewing Company, featuring their Coaster Wagon Irish Red Ale.
“It’s an Irish red style beer, we are serving it on the beer engine which is like a hand pump that’s pretty traditional from like the U.K.,” LTS Brewing Company owner Brandon Schultz said.
For those who wanted to make the holiday memorable, the fundraiser at Sacred Heart benefits Camp Companion Pet Rescue.
“Any opportunity to have a good time and take a couple of drinks and hang out with some friends and just to have fun,” Sacred Heart studio owner Matthew Holt said.
So whether it was getting inked, having a green drink, or listening to the pipe band, may the luck of the Irish be with you!
