(ABC 6 News) — It might be hard to believe with our warm September, but the Minnesota “cold weather rule” takes effect on Tuesday.
Under the rule, from October 1st through April 30th, energy companies cannot disconnect your service if it would affect your primary heating source.
Income-eligible customers should contact their service provider to make a payment plan that is reasonable for their financial situation.
