(ABC 6 News) – There’s no place to be in the summer than at the fair.

The Dodge County Free Fair is celebrating its 165th year with tons of fun activities for the family.

This year, the grandstand will be host to bull riding, open stock car races, semi-truck, tractor, pick-up pulls and on Saturday for the DC championship demolition derby.

Through Sunday, you can also find different live events at the new township square.

"What would you like to tell the people of Dodge County as they start to head to this fair? If they want to come out and have a good time there are lots to do out there, there’s lots to see, lots of entertainment. We also have a new town square, which is our free stage, we got a canopy which is new this year, the townships and Dodge County all chipped in to buy that," Dodge County Fair President Marilyn Lermon said.

The fair runs through July 17.
