Faribault law enforcement report arrest, seizure of $17K in meth
(ABC 6 News) – According to the Cannon River Drug and Violent Offender Task Force (CRDVOTF), an Owatonna man was arrested Feb. 28 with 280 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and four firearms.
Cedric Antonio English, 50, faces charges of 1st-degree aggravated controlled substance possession and illegal possession of firearms.
The street value of the methamphetamine, if broken down into smaller amounts and sold, was about $16,800, according to the CRDVOTF.
According to Commander Scott O’Brien with the Le Suer County Sheriff’s Office and CRDVOTF, task force agents had suspected English of selling methamphetamine in the Cannon River area and previously arranged a controlled buy of about an ounce of meth in January of 2023.
Faribault police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle English was riding in on Feb. 28, and arrested English and a female driver.
Members of law enforcement searched the vehicle and located the methamphetamine, multiple scales and baggies, about $4,000 in U.S. currency, and four handguns, according to O’Brien.
