Freeborn County crash on I-35 sends 1 to hospital
(ABC 6 News) – A Missouri woman was sent to the hospital after a single-vehicle crash on I-35 in Freeborn County on Tuesday evening.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol (MSP), at approximately 7:17 p.m., a 2007 Chevy pickup hauling a livestock trailer was traveling northbound on I-35 when it lost control and left the road near mile marker 14 in Bancroft Township in Freeborn County.
Kole Fulton, 26, of Lincoln, MO, the driver of the Chevy was not injured.
Bryant Hazelton, 21, of Callaway, MN and Shelby Sprinkle, 25, of Sedalia, MO, were both passengers. Hazelton was not injured, but Sprinkle was taken to Mayo Hospital in Albert Lea with non-life threatening injuries.
MSP says the road was snow and ice covered at the time of the crash, and all three people involved were not wearing seatbelts.
MSP was assisted at the scene by the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and Clarks Grove Fire.
