Gov. Walz ends temporary transfer of power following procedure

(ABC 6 News) – Governor Tim Walz has ended the temporary transfer of power to Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan following the completion of a preventive procedure.
Gov. Walz underwent a colonoscopy on Monday afternoon and received a clean bill of health. In anticipation of the procedure, the Governor initiated the temporary transfer of power which lasted for the duration of general anesthesia.
Gov. Walz also sent written notice to House Speaker Melissa Hortman and Senate President Bobby Joe Champion ending the temporary transfer of power.
