Gov. Walz to speak at Rochester events Wednesday
(ABC 6 News) – Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will be in Rochester on Wednesday.
Gov. Walz along with Steve Grove, Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), are scheduled to be the featured speakers at the Rochester Area Economic Development, Inc. (RAEDI), annual meeting and luncheon.
The event will take place at the Rochester International Event center from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Gov. Walz and Commissioner Grove will share their perspective on business attraction, development tools, and Minnesota’s commitment to a qualified workforce.
The annual event will also highlight RAEDI’s 2022 accomplishments.
Before the event, Gov. Walz will host a roundtable discussion with small business owners to discuss the state’s plan to support small businesses and economic expansion across the state.
Joining Gov. Walz in the discussion will be Mill Creek Life Sciences CEO Bill Mirsch, LEAH Labs Founder and CEO Wesley Wierson, Neighborly Group Founder and CEO Sarah Richardson, Otori Sushi and Mezza9 Owner Sammi Loo, and Roasted Bliss Co-Owners Ali Johnson and Stephanie Donovan.
