‘Hamilton’ returns to Minneapolis for five weeks

(ABC 6 News) – The Broadway hit musical ‘Hamilton’ is returning to Minneapolis for a five-week run in 2023.

The eight-time Tony Award-winning show will play at the Orpheum Theatre April 4 to May 6, 2023.

The show is based on a biography of the life of founding father Alexander Hamilton – primarily told through rap and hip-hop music.

Hamilton  is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway, Hamilton is the story of America then, as told by America now.

Tickets will go on sale on January 11th at 10 a.m.
