(ABC 6 News) – Friday, minority entrepreneurs got the chance to network and grow their businesses.
The first of its kind Lunch and Learn networking event was hosted by the Minority Owned Business Network.
The goal of the Minority Owned Business Network is to provide resources, education, and networking events to help BIPOC entrepreneurs grow and thrive in our communities.

While there are still obstacles to overcome, speakers and event organizers say Rochester is on the right track to creating a level playing field for minority business owners.
“The more minority and women-owned business can get the knowledge and information they need to be successful. It improves everyone’s lifestyles and their ability to reach their dreams,” said Andre Coen, Vice President of Diversity Equity Inclusion.
Coen said he was blown away with the turnout and hopes this will help inspire more people to invest in themselves and to keep pushing, no matter the obstacles.
