Iowa man sentenced to 9.25 years for sexually abusing children

(ABC 6 News) – An Osage, Iowa man was sentenced to 111 months at the MN Correctional Facility in St. Cloud after pleading guilty to two counts of criminal sexual contact with Austin minors.

Dylan Matthew Drees, 26, pleaded guilty to one count of 1st-degree criminal sexual conduct (penetration of a child under 13) and one case of 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct (multiple acts, child under 16).

He was arrested in April of 2020 after a 10-year-old and 12-year-old told law enforcement that Drees assaulted them repeatedly from 2018 to 2020.

Drees was sentenced to 111 months, with credit for 238 days served in jail. He also received a sentence of 90 months for the second plea, and the sentences will be served concurrently.

According to court documents, the minimum sentence if Drees had been found guilty in court would have been 144 months, or 12 years.
