(ABC 6 News) – If you’re planning to fly this week, you need to be prepared for potential flight delays or cancellations.
At the Mason City Municipal Airport, their planes typically fly to Chicago where travelers may be met with layovers.
MCW manager David Sims made some recommendations for those who will be flying this week.
“The main recommendation that we make is to stay in touch with their airline either through their website, their app, or their customer service phone number to be advised of the latest travel delays and cancellations associated with the storm.”
Sims says that there are no delays or cancellations yet at Mason City but is anticipating some by Thursday.
He also said that if the weather becomes too severe that there is a chance for the Mason City Airport to be closed until it is deemed safe the fly.
