Minnesota, Iowa state troopers respond to hundreds of crashes Thursday
(ABC 6 News) – Minnesota and Iowa State Patrol troopers responded to hundreds of crashes on Thursday as wintry weather made travel difficult for motorists.
According to the Iowa State Patrol (ISP), between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. there were 105 crashes that troopers covered. Of those, 94 included damage, 10 with injuries and there was 1 fatal crash that occurred in Carroll County. ISP also assisted 145 motorists.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) says overall between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. troopers covered 191 crashes, 10 with injuries, and none that were serious or fatal. MSP says there was 328 vehicle spin-outs, or off the road, and 20 jackknifed semi’s during that same time frame.
