(ABC 6 News) – Heavy snow and strong winds are beginning to make their way into Minnesota forcing highway closures.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has closed I-90 in both directions west of Worthington to the South Dakota state line due to blizzard conditions. Heavy snow, and gusty winds are creating whiteout conditions significantly reducing visibility and creating blowing and drifting snow prompting the closure.
