Mower County Historical Society celebrates 75th Anniversary next week
(ABC 6 News) – The Mower County Historical Society will celebrate its 75th Anniversary next week.
The celebration will kick-off on Monday, September 19 and continue through Monday, September 26.
Special events are planned for the week including;
Lunchbox History
The event will take place on Thursday, September 22 at 12:00 p.m. in the Pioneer building with a special presentation about the history of the organization including several artifacts that will be shared that are significant to the county’s history.
Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and guests are invited to “bring your lunch and a friend.”
Fall Harvest Celebration
The celebration will be on Saturday, September 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
There will be a bake sale, pumpkin wagon, apple cider press, live music, horse drawn wagon rides, antique car rides, raffle drawings and more. Food will also be available for purchase.
The 1004 Steam Engine, Depot. Passenger Car, Fire Museum and Log Cabin will also be open.
The Fall Harvest celebration is an annual fundraiser for the Mower County Historical Society, a non-profit organization.
