Newsweek ranks Mayo Clinic as number one on best hospital in world list

(ABC 6 News) – Newsweek has ranked Mayo Clinic in Rochester as the number one best hospital in the world, according to a study published on Friday.
Newsweek and global data firm Statista, put out their fifth annual listing of the World’s Best Hospitals 2023. This year, they ranked over 2,300 hospitals in 28 countries.
The rankings were determined by the results of various surveys from over 80,000 medical experts and patient experiences. Scores were then calculated and weighted for each hospital in four categories.
Newsweek says the goal of the study is to provide a data-based comparison of hospital reputation and performance across countries.

In July, U.S. News & World Report ranked Mayo Clinic as the number one hospital in the nation for the seventh consecutive year.
