‘Our Austin, Our America’ exhibit opens

(ABC 6 News) – A photography exhibit featuring residents of Austin is now on display at the state capitol in St. Paul.

‘Our Austin, our America’, is the first in a series of public art galleries at the state capitol.

The gallery features portraits telling the story of immigrants, refugees and other newcomers who have made their home in Austin.

This – presents the town as an example of how communities can embrace growing diversity.

“To put Austin on the statewide prominence is just so awesome and to see our diverse community highlighted is a great moment of pride for our community,” City Administrator Craig Clark said.

The exhibit will be on display through June 30.
