Owatonna man killed in Hwy 218 crash Wednesday morning

(ABC 6 News) – An Owatonna man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 218 near Owatonna Wednesday morning.
According to Minnesota State Patrol, 59-year-old Terry Pelovsky was heading south on Highway 218, while Becky Schwering, 58 of Claremont, was heading north when the two vehicles collided.
Pelovsky was taken to Owatonna Hospital and died from his injuries. Schwering was taken to Owatonna Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Owatonna Police, Owatonna Fire Department, and Mayo Ambulance all responded to the scene.
This was one of many reported crashes and spinouts as blowing snow and gusty winds created some icy, slick patches on roads, especially in open and rural areas.
