Riverbend assisted living honors veterans

(ABC 6 News) – River Bend Assisted Living & Memory Care center marked Veterans day with a special celebration Friday.

The event started with a flag ceremony held by the American Legion Post 92, followed by a program led by ProMedica Hospice featuring music and a pinning a certificate ceremony.

Certificates were also presented to all 16 current residents and Veterans.

“It’s so important because of the things that they have sacrificed for our freedom and their friends and their families and everyone here in the United States,” said Executive Director Jon Stene.

The facility says Friday’s event was a special and emotional celebration of their residents and their family.
