(ABC 6 News) – Before she read Friday’s biggest headlines on Friday, ABC 6 Anchor Robin Wolfram headed back to school.

Kindergarten, to be exact. This afternoon, she visited Mrs. Whikes’ kindergarten class at St. Francis of Assisi School in Rochester. She exchanged a teleprompter for a book, as kids gathered around to hear “Butterfly Boy“. The book tells the story of a boy who spends watching butterflies with his grandfather, after his grandfather has difficulties, both moving and speaking.

The experience gave the class a chance to learn about what can be a difficult situation for many families; how to teach young children to adjust to changes that come along with aging. The story illustrates that despite changes in their relationship, they still have time and love to give eachother.

“We all learned about compassion, and a little about butterflies,” explains Wolfram.

The afternoon wrapped up with one of the shyest students in the class emerging from his own chrysalis to answer a question about the book.
