Rochester couple finds bullet hole in van
(ABC 6 News) – Rochester police have few leads after a NW couple found bullet casings and a hole in their vehicle Saturday.
On Oct. 1, a 56-year-old woman told officers she woke up just after midnight to the sound of popping noises.
The woman said she attributed the sounds to machinery and went back to sleep.
However, the woman and her husband found a bullet hole in the hood of their van and called police at about 11:52 a.m. the same morning.
The couple found two bullet casings in the street, which they gave to Rochester police.
Police canvased the area and did not find any other damage from the second gunshot.
No injuries were reported, and neighbors said they did not hear the presumed gunfire Saturday morning.
Rochester police are still investigating the incident.
