UPDATE: Rochester Hwy 52 southbound crash causes delays Thursday morning

(ABC 6 News) – A Rochester woman was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 52 Thursday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at approximately 9:46 a.m., a 2009 Toyota FJ Cruiser and a Volkswagen Jetta were both southbound on Highway 52 when both vehicles collided south of Elton Hills Dr. in Rochester.

The crash caused significant delays for a time.

The driver of the 2009 Toyota FJ Cruiser, Sharesa Golish, 29, of Rochester, was taken to Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester with non-life threatening injuries. A 9-year-old male passenger was not injured.

The driver of the Volkswagen Jetta, Marylou Imm, 89, of Rochester, was not injured.

All were wearing seatbelts, according to MSP.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Rochester Police Department, Rochester Fire Department, the Minnesota Department of Transportation and Mayo Clinic Health Services Ambulance.
