(ABC 6 News) – It’s been almost one month since Rochester man, Thomas McElroy, was declared missing. Weeks later, the family and police are no closer to any answers.
Now the family is asking for the public’s help in finding the 43-year-old.

McElroy was last seen leaving Mayo Clinic’s Saint Mary’s Hospital campus around 4:30 a.m. on December 27th. He was wearing shoes, pants, no shirt, but had a blanket wrapped around him.
McElroy’s sister, Tracy Tschumper, says her family is still hopeful for his return, but as weeks go by they cannot help but think the worst.
“We need to find him. I mean, we don’t know if he’s alive or not. We just want answers,” she said.
McElroy was last seen heading north on 11th Ave in Rochester. Tschumper says since her brother’s disappearance, people have scoured the area, checked security cameras, searched the area with dogs, but still have not found any answers.
McElroy is 5′ 8″ and 130 lbs. He has black hair and wears glasses. He also has a tattoo on his left hand.
Tschumper says this is something that no family should ever have to go through.
“We know he had his troubles, but he was a good person and a great uncle,” she said. “He always enjoyed playing with my kids and he would do anything for you.”
She says the best way the community can help is by continuing to share information about her brother.
The family is asking the public to keep checking their properties and their security cameras for any sign of him.
If you have any information about McElroy’s whereabouts or think you may have seen him, you are urged to contact the Rochester Police Department.
