Rochester YMCA Day Camp Oxbow launches in summer 2023

(ABC 6 News) – The Rochester YMCA is teaming up with Olmsted county parks to offer a day camp experience this summer for kids kindergarten through grade 6.

The day camp located at Oxbow park and Zollman zoo provides youth with an opportunity to enjoy fun outdoor adventures.

In partnership with Olmsted County Parks, campers will visit Zollman Zoo and learn from park naturalists to further their connection to the natural environment. Additional activities include arts and crafts, archery, camp songs, games, daily access to the two-acre Path of Imagination Playscape and more.

“The YMCA is honored to be working in partnership with Olmsted County Parks to offer Day Camp Oxbow to youth in Rochester and across Olmsted County in Minnesota,” said Kristina Lemmer, executive director of community engagement at Rochester YMCA. “We look forward to offering educational and enrichment experiences to help youth learn, grow and thrive.” 

Day campers will visit the zoo, participate in archery and arts and crafts and further their connection to the natural environment.
