SE Rochester mobile home a total loss after Friday morning fire
(ABC 6 News) – A southeast Rochester mobile home is a total loss after a fire early Friday morning.
According to the Rochester Fire Department (RFD), at approximately 1:35 a.m., fire crews were dispatched to a mobile home fire at Bob’s Trailer Court at 1915 Marion Rd. SE.
Fire fighters arrived on-scene to find half the mobile home engulfed with heavy fire and 2 power lines also on fire next to the mobile home.
RFD says fire fighters carried out forcible entry and searched the inside for possible victims, but no one was home at the time and no pets were found. Once fire fighters knocked down the fire from the exterior, they went inside and finished extinguishing the fire.
The mobile home is considered a total loss including most of the household items and belongings inside. Estimated value is $50,000-$70,000. The fire is under investigation.
RFD was assisted at the scene by Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service, Rochester Police Department, and Rochester Public Utilities.
