Girls section basketball championships scheduled for Thursday postponed

(ABC 6 News) – The section 1A and 1AA girls basketball championship games scheduled for Thursday, March 9 have been postponed.

A winter storm will track through the region beginning Thursday morning lasting into Friday with heavy snow at times and tricky travel likely.

Both championship games will now be played Friday, March 10 at Mayo Civic Auditorium.

  • 1A – Grand Meadow vs Hayfield; 5 p.m.
  • 1AA – Goodhue vs Caledonia; 8 p.m.
