Senator Amy Klobuchar touts burn pit relief bill

(ABC 6 News) – Senator Amy Klobuchar is celebrating the passage of a new bill in the senate that would give increased healthcare access to veterans who are suffering after being stationed next to burn pits.

Burn pit exposure has been connected to a number of health issues under this new bill, veterans who are able to show a connection between their health issues and burn pit exposure will be eligible for new healthcare benefits.

“We make sure now that a number of health conditions are indicators if you were stationed next to a burn pit that you need help, you need benefits, you need good health coverage,” Klobuchar said.
