(ABC 6 News) – Students at Sumner Elementary school in Austin got a special concert Monday.
Hip-hop duo, The Reminders stopped in to spread the joy of music.
The group will be in the Rochester area this week performing at local elementary schools, and at select southeast Minnesota libraries.
These performances will lead up to a full-length free public performance on March 4 at the Rochester Civic Theatre.
“We really focus on the three aspects of music the components of music in terms of music rhythm and harmony. We also focus on music as emotion and we focus on music as movement so through those three being able to connect to music without having an extensive musical background,” said Aja Black.
While the school visits are not open to the public, the opportunities at various libraries are as well as the finale concert at the Rochester Civic Theatre.
