Rochester man found guilty of attempted murder after gas station shooting

(ABC 6 News) – A Rochester man accused of shooting at a stranger at a Holiday gas station in June of 2022 was found guilty of attempted murder in Olmsted County Court Thursday.
Lionell Bailey, 39, faced charges of 1st- and 2nd-degree attempted murder, 2nd-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, drive-by shooting, and felon in possession of a firearm following an incident where he allegedly fired a gun at a 42-year-old man who was walking between the pumps June 15, 2022.

Bailey’s sentencing is scheduled for April 20, 2023.

He faces additional charges of 1st- and 5th-degree sexual conduct from an incident in 2021. The trial for his criminal sexual conduct charges is scheduled for May 2023.
(ABC 6 News) – A man accused of shooting at a stranger at a Holiday gas station June 15 pleaded not guilty in Olmsted County Court.
Lionell Bailey, 38, will stand trial on charges of 1st- and 2nd-degree attempted murder, 2nd-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, drive-by shooting, and felon in possession of a firearm.

Bailey allegedly fired a gun at a 42-year-old man at the gas station on 7th Street and N Broadway Wednesday morning, June 15.

He was arrested two days later in Winona.
Bailey faces additional charges of 1st- and 5th-degree sexual conduct from an incident in 2021.
He’s next scheduled to appear in court Oct. 5, 2022.
