UPDATE: Body found in Faribault County identified as Albert Lea man
(ABC 6 News) – The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office has given an update on a body that was found in Wells earlier this month.
The victim’s body was found at a rural property located in the 14000 section of 540th Avenue in rural Wells (Walnut Lake Township), MN, authorities said Wednesday.
According to a press release, the victim has been identified as Miguel Angel Chavez-Lopez, a 54-year-old man from Albert Lea.
The manner of death is still reportedly confirmed as a homicide, the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office added in the release.
The incident remains under active investigation by the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office. It is receiving assistance from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

(ABC 6 News) — On November 1 at around 11:46 p.m., the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a found body at a property in rural Wells, MN.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found the body.
According to a press release from FCSO, the death has been deemed a homicide and is under investigation by FCSO with assistance from MN BCA.
The deceased person’s identity is currently being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
