UPDATE: State patrol has not found suspect from cornfield chase

(ABC 6 News) – UPDATE: The Minnesota State Patrol confirmed Thursday that they are still searching for a suspect after a failed traffic stop-turned-cornfield chase Monday.
Troy Christiansen with the MSP said the department has leads to follow, but has not yet located the driver who drove into a ditch off 50th Avenue N, then fled into a corn field.
(ABC 6 News) – UPDATE: The Minnesota State Patrol is still searching for a driver who fled from a traffic stop attempt on East Circle Drive and Silver Road NE in Rochester Monday, July 25.
According to the MSP, a state trooper tried to pull a black GMC truck over at about 9:58 p.m.
When the male driver fled, the trooper pursued the vehicle with emergency lights and sirens on.
The vehicle turned onto North Broadway, then drove into the ditch on 50th Avenue N near 75th Street NE.
The suspect then fled into the area of a corn field on foot, according to the MSP’s report.
The Rochester Police Department and Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office set up a perimeter from 40th Ave. NE to 75th St. NE, and roads were blocked off.
Rochester police told ABC 6 News that the scene was “active” at about 10:45 p.m.
According to the Minnesota state patrol, a helicopter searched for the suspect, but was not able to locate him Monday night.
The suspect is not considered a threat to the public, the MSP said.
(ABC 6 News) – Area law enforcement, a helicopter and K-9 units have responded to an area in NE Rochester Monday night for an unknown situation.
Authorities have created a perimeter around the area of 40th Ave. NE to 75th St. NE, and roads are blocked off.
Around 10:45 p.m., Rochester police officer told an ABC 6 News crew that it was an “active scene” but would not comment on the nature of the scene.
