Quiet, cool through the weekend, milder spring weather returns later next week

While parts of the country have been enduring severe weather and steady, heavy rain, things will remain quiet here at home. Cooler air and cloud cover will remain a staple of our weather diet through Friday. More sunshine is ahead this weekend.

For the end of the week, highs will remain very close to average for early April with highs in the upper 40s to around 50 degrees Friday afternoon. More clouds than clear sky will linger through Friday, but we should see a few more peeks of sunshine than we did Thursday.

Cooler air will remain in place Saturday and Sunday as highs remain in the low to mid-40s Saturday. We’ll get a nice, little bump into the 50s Sunday before another batch of cold air arrives Sunday night into Monday morning.

Monday will be cooler as highs stay in the 30s to around 40 degrees by Monday afternoon, running about 10 degrees cooler than average. Temperatures begin to moderate Tuesday, and highs return to the 50s Wednesday. 60s make a triumphant return later next week. Along with sunshine, the milder air will really get things greening up around here.
